During her interview, the sexagenarian mainly mentioned colon cancer. And for good reason, this disease is one of the common points she has with her character Noémie in fiction.

A subject that must be talked about according to the actress
For many people, cancer is probably a taboo subject. However, for Clémentine Célarié, this has never been the case.
On the contrary, during her interview in the podcast, the French director notably stated that this subject should be discussed in public.
She also regrets that she was forbidden to talk about it when she learned that she had the disease.
And now that she can do it, Abraham’s mother does not hesitate to mention this disease in her interviews. In the podcast “Dhombres et de lumière”, the sixty-year-old said:
“You have to talk about it, not sink into solitude, pronounce the word, without taboo. Cancer is not death, it is the fight! »
The least we can say is that the 65-year-old actress is a woman fighter. Thanks to her strength and courage, it is therefore not surprising that she ended up winning the battle against colon cancer.
In any case, his challenge has always been “to achieve beauty”despite the hardships you have to go through in life.
“When I was sick, dreams and imagination also helped me a lot: always have a plan! Today, transcending the ordeal of cancer with a work like Les Randonneuses is the holy grail! “, she said during an interview with the magazine Télé-Loisirs.

If her strength and her courage allowed Clémentine Célarié to overcome her colon cancer, her career also played a big role in this fight.
Even if the actress was fighting against the disease, she continued to work. She even confided in an interview that art, which is also her passion, protected her.

“I told myself that this frenzy to create would preserve me. When I was told that my colon cancer was operable and that chemotherapy would be preventive, I thought I was lucky and that I was going to be cured. »
After fighting the disease, the director continues to work. Thanks to her performance in the new TF1 series “Les Randonneuses”, she received an award at the Séries Mania festival. Something to make her even happier.
