  1. Is there another herb I could use for the Sage? I don’t like the taste of sage.
The recipe looks and sounds interesting.

  2. This recipe looks really yummy! I don’t have any canned lentils though. Can I prepare the burgers with dried lentils? And if so, how long should I boil them? And how much should they weigh afther I drain them? Thank you in advance!

    1. I guess that is possible! Just cook them as usual and add 400g (as much as in the tin she used) πŸ™‚

  3. I made your vegan burger recipe tonight for dinner and they were really good, so yummy. I put them on whole meal burger buns with hummus, mustard lettuce, sliced tomato and red onion. They were so good even my carnivorous mum and dad really liked them. Thank you

  4. Can I use a Kitchen Aid Professional Stand Mixer with all of the attachments and/or a small handy chopper? I don’t have a blender or food processor.

  5. can i use dried lentils anf just boil them? if yes, how long should i cook them and how much should they weigh aftet i drain them? please answer πŸ™‚

  6. Do you use tofu? I tried making a tofu burger and it turned the bun into much. I don’t even know how that happened i made sure the tofu and other stuff was drained of laiquid. It was the weirdest thing like the entire tofu burger bun included just fell apart. I think I’ll try this next. Is it mushy??? I hate mushy.

  7. Hi Anja πŸ™‚ Are these supposed to cook in the middle? My outside were crusty but the inside a bit mushy (which didn’t bother me). And I cooked slightly over your recommended time. They were delicious! πŸ™‚ Thank you! πŸ™‚

    1. +Michael Lebrun If you want a firmer center, just lower the heat and cook for a bit longer. They should be fairly firm.

  8. hi anja, i tried this on saturday and found it too salty, ansonsten superyummy! iΒ΄ll make it again and again and again…

    1. +Welt Im Einklang Sorry to hear it was too salty for you. Just adjust next time to your personal taste. Were your lentils in salt? Maybe that made it extra salty?? Glad you liked them. Alles gute x

  9. Really enjoy watching. Have just purchased both your books….waiting for them to arrive! πŸ™‚ Just wanted to ask why you use onion and garlic powder and dried herbs opposed to fresh? Is it just preference ??
Thank you for posting and being so lovely, you and your partner make changing habits easier.

    1. +joy hanson Maybe try a combination of eggplant and tofu. You would need to play around with a few ingredients that you like the taste of.

  10. Yes!!!! I use brown lentils for beef burgers too. I love the way it taste. And the oats give it texture for me. Something about the brown lentils remind me of beef.
I’ve never tried them in the oven though. Thanks for that.

  11. Hi Anja, thank you for this amazing recipe. One question: Do you know if these burgers can be used for bbq or are they too soft to fit? Would they if I froze them first?

    1. +Crisalsera I’m not sure how they would go on a BBQ because I don’t cook with oil. I presume they will stick. You would need to test it.

  12. Yum Yum, your recipes are so fantastic!! Do you think you cld make a vegan hot dog recipe?? (-:

  13. I have just made these, and they are absolutely gorgeous. I’m thinking of making these into like a meat loaf on Sunday. I am wondering if tinned black beans would also work well. Thank you yet again….

  14. you are so sweet I had to give you a like, wish I could select 20 likes to give instead of just one! I will try your recipe!

  15. saved my day. i’m making these for the week end BBQ. Will freeze first to make them extra crispy. Carnivore friends will be jealous. You rock Anja love your videos and your style. Aussie in Netherlands.

  16. Hi Love your recipes. Can you please tell me the make of your blender.I wish to upgrade my old one to larger size, preferably same s yours thanks

    1. nwphoto1965 I beg to differ. love the jingle plus I love how u eat and enjoy ur own food afterwards. I could almost taste the food when u do that.

  17. Ok, I’ve tried a couple of your recipes & enjoyed them, but this one was terrible. I love mushrooms & had really high hopes for it, but nope, it was just nasty. You’re still awesome.

This recipe is actually absolutely amazing to me, the best vegan homemade burger I tried so far. I tried some other recipes, but this one is absolutely the top! Yumm 😍

  18. These are SOOO good. Made them tonight for a second time. My non vegan husband loves them! I’m stoked that it makes 6 because we get 3 meals out of this recipe πŸ™ŒπŸΌ
